I’m about 6 months into Substack and between The Vegan Atlas (this publication) and my other Substack, Literary Ladies Guide, it has been a heartwarming experience. It’s a great way to communicate with readers, and feels more civilized and personal than, say, FB, IG, etc., etc. So thank you for being here with me.
Every once in a while, I like to send a special perk to readers. Today I’m sending a small pdf (10 pages, 6 soups, 4 gorgeous photos) of some of the most warming mid-winter soups in the latest (5th) edition of Vegan Soups and Stews for All Seasons.
It almost is a cliché to say that soups are the most comforting of comfort foods ever. I’m a total soup freak and have made the mushroom-barley soup and the parsnip vegetable bisque this month (also the vegan chick’n noodle soup, not shown in the pdf attached).
Here’s what one of these spreads looks like. I have all the ingredients for Hearty Winter Roots soup, which I’m making this weekend:
And here’s your 10-page sampling of cozy winter soups:
Sometimes Substack pdfs glitch, so if you’re unable to download the above, you can also access these pages here.
I know some of you already have this latest iteration of Vegan Soups, so thank you. If you have the time and inclination, please do me the honor of leaving a review on Amazon — those really help. I’m also donating profits from any sales on my Etsy shop to World Central Kitchen, whose mission of feeding people in war and disaster zones (like L.A.) is quite impressive.
I’ll be back soon with the Sunday edition of What to Make & Eat This Week. In the meantime, stay warm!
